If you are a degree-seeking student. Complete the annual FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Applicants, and parents, must create a FSA ID (which replaces the former "pin number"). Be sure to keep your FSA ID in a safe place so that you can access it as needed. To allow adequate processing, you need to complete the FAFSA as early as possible.

The NMSU Grants Academic Advising Department seeks to provide all students. With high quality and accurate academic and career success plans. Our goal is to help all students develop skills and knowledge. This will lead them to identify, plan and achieve educational goals. We are a student-centered office that provides hands on assistance. With pre-enrollment information, course selection, degree plan requirements, college transfer information, as well as career planning and job searching.
