About the Program

The Welding Program at NMSU Grants is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in the dynamic field of welding. This program offers both certificate and associate degree options, catering to individuals with varying career goals and aspirations. NMSU-Grants has the unique ability to have small class sizes, which gives students individualized responses and attention from instructors and faculty members. Students can work to receive an Associate of Applied Science in Welding Technology, or a Certificate in Welding Technology. In addition, the program works closely with the Automotive Trades program, in an effort to give students the possibility to expand their automotive skills a long with there welding trades capacity! Students have enjoyed the ease at which their skills can be applied to other trades programs.
