For Spring 2021, NMSU will implement a fixed payment plan managed by University Accounts Receivable (UAR)

  • Students are required to enroll with the payment plan when the (current semester’s) outstanding balance is $200 or more!
  • A separate application is required each term
  • Deadline for enrolling is January 31, 2021
  • Fall & Spring semesters have 5 payments, Summer has 3 payments
  • 1st payment is due at the time of enrollment
  • Remaining payments are due by the 15th of each month
  • $10 fee for each: (late, partial, or missed) payment
  • Payment amounts are subject to change for charges posted after enrolling in the payment plan
  • Students cannot have a prior semester balance of $2,500 or more
  • To avoid dis-enrollment students must have a prior balance less than $2,500
  • Students whose Financial Aid arrangements are not received by the due date MAY need to enroll in a payment plan

​Withdrawal from the University

A withdrawal form must be completed with Student Services for a course or the University. This procedure may result in “F’s” for all registered courses. Students that withdraw after the stated refund dates will remain liable for full tuition and fee charges.

Refund of Tuition & Fees

Students officially withdrawing or dropping courses during the Spring 2021 semester are eligible to receive a refund as follows:

  • 16 Week (January 25 – May 14)
    Through February 12th……………………………………………100%
  • 8 Week I (January 25 – March 18)
    Through February 3rd……………………………………………..100%
  • 8 Week II (March 19 – May 14)
    Through March 31st………………………………………………..100%
