On Monday, October 17, 2016 New Mexico State University Grants and the Pueblo of Zuni signed a historic document, the first MOU between the recently created A:shiwi College and Career Readiness Center and New Mexico State University. The document establishes a NMSU Grants office in the ACCRC. The office will be staffed and supported by funds available through an existing Native American Serving Nontribal Institutions (NASNTI) grant. Representing the Pueblo of Zuni were: Governor Val Panteah Sr., ACCRC Executive Director Hayes Lewis, Head Councilman Wilfred Eriacho, Councilwomen Virginia Chavez, Councilman Arlen Quetawki, Sr., and ACCRC Operations Manager Bruce Klewer. Representing NMSU Grants were: Interim President Dr. Harry Sheski, Acting VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Bill Serban, and NASNTI Project Director Filmer Lalio.
