Fall 2023 Tutors

I am Carol Prewett the science tutor for NMSU Grants. I have a B.S.Ed. and M.A.T degrees, I have experience in teaching regular education and Special Ed. Classes in all subjects but mostly science classes. I also taught College & Life Success here at NMSU. I have been tutoring here for 8 years.

My name is Connie Lyons.  I have a BA in Secondary Education, with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Social Sciences.  I also have a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching and Learning.  I have about 30 years experience in teaching and tutoring in the public schools and at the two-year college level.  I enjoy tutoring lower levels of Mathematics up to College Algebra and Statistics.  I can also help with any class in navigating through Canvas and submitting documents.  I look forward to seeing you at the Success Center!!!

My name is Sharon MacKendrick. I have a BA in Secondary Education, with a major in Mathematics and a minor in English, and an MA in Pure Mathematics. I have over forty years of experience teaching mathematics at the two-year college level, and I am now semi-retired and working as a tutor at NMSU-Grants. I enjoy helping students learn, and I look forward to working in the Student Success Center, either in person or via Zoom during my regularly scheduled hours.

Hello, I’m Mary Allen-Webb, AKA Bride’ and I will be the General Studies Tutor for the Grants Student Success Center. I have a BS in Government Administration with an, Extended Major in Anthropology with emphasis is Physical Anthropology and Archaeology and concentrations in Physics, Astronomy and Computer Applications. I taught various Computer Applications and Stained Glass Art Classes at the Grants Branch for more than 20 years and I have more than 50 years of real world work experience.

I am a life long learner with a broad spectrum of subject areas that I can help students with.
