Description/Mission:
Cibola Arts Council is dedicated to providing experiences with the arts for citizens and especially youth of the area. It promotes and supports the artists of the region, and functions as an educational resource for the arts in our community.

Student Service Learning Opportunities:
Service Learners have the opportunity to interact with community citizens and tourists in the arena of art sales and promotion of art media. Students will experience "hands on" management and promotion of a small community museum. This will include research and acquisition of exhibitions. Students will experience interagency collaboration with municipal government, Chamber of Commerce, Main Street, etc. Opportunities include public relations and advertising responsibilities. Students will be involved in many facets of nonprofit organization management including fundraising, grant writing, board meetings, etc.

Depends on the project.

Number of Service Learning Students Needed: 1-2 to begin with
Hours of Operation When Students are Needed: 1pm-5pm Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm Sat
Minimum Hour Commitment Required: 4 hours/week
