Community Services Policy
Library staff members are happy to assist members of the local community as time permits. Community members may obtain a library card by completing a brief application form. The card is mailed to the address provided on the application. Community members may check out up to five books for four weeks and books can be renewed for an additional four weeks if no one else has requested the book.
Community members may also register to use the internet computers. The computer use policy must be followed and users are asked to keep printing to a minimum.
Staff members can not provide legal, medical, or tax advice or interpretation. They also do not assist community users with typing, resume' preparation, or proofreading letters, etc.
NMSU students, staff, and faculty members are the library's primary clientele, so please be advised that their needs always take priority for staff assistance and use of campus facilities including the library internet computers.
