Fast Track Math Camp

August 12-16, 2013

The purpose of the FAST TRACK Math Camp is to reduce or eliminate coursework in the developmental math program, ultimately getting you closer to your degree faster!

Who Should Participate?

New students who have taken the COMPASS Placement exam and have borderline scores for placement into the next course. See an advisor to determine eligibility.

When is the program?

The program will be offered August 12 – 16, 2013 from 1:00 -5:00 p.m. You must register by August 8 using the registration form below.

What is the cost?

The cost of the the program is FREE! All you need to do is invest your time & effort!

What are the benefits of participating?

Upon completion of the FAST TRACK Math Camp, students will have the opportunity to retake the COMPASS and hopefully eliminate or reduce the need for developmental math coursework saving time and money $$$$!

Program Overview

Pre-test to identify where students need math assistance using Pearson’s MyMath Test.

Workshop format, 4 hours per day for five days, August 12-16.

Mini-lectures on core topics

Pre-Algebra Topics:

  • Fractions
  • Decimals
  • Percentages and Proportions
  • Solving Equations

Algebra Topics:

  • Linear Equations
  • Polynomials
  • Quadratic Equations
  • Graphing

Computerized individual skill-building and problem-solving practice.

Mastery level practice and testing.
