Computer support and IT services is located on the second floor in Martinez Hall, room 122. Steve Stockdale (287-6647) is the IT Director; Norm Ratliff (287-6665) and David Archibeque (287-6664) serve as IT Technicians; and we have three interns, Adrian Mascarenaz, Louis F. Bear Eagle, and Danielle (Raz) Montano.
We support and maintain all of the NMSU-owned computers and peripherals, the IT infrastructure (including WiFi networks and servers), the phone system, copiers, and printers, including the WEPA printers for student use. For faculty, we provide assistance with over 30 laptops for classroom use as well as portable projection capabilities with the Computer on Wheels (COW) carts.
Please understand that we want to do everything we can to support your computing needs at NMSU Grants. We cannot, however, work on privately-owned computers.
Check out our IT Orientation page for students. We have lots of good information about getting the most out of your computer and the NMSU Grants technology resources. To submit a trouble ticket or request, please use the SchoolDude reporting system.
Computers on Campus
Students have access to 19 Windows computers and 4 iMacs in the Student Success Center and 16 Windows computers in the library.
Several classrooms are equipped as computer labs for class use, including the Mac Lab in McClure Hall, the Math Lab in Martinez, and the drafting, business, and Adult Education/GED classrooms.
Community members are welcome to use the computers in the library, although students have first priority.
Our “Cyber Café” in Martinez Hall has five computers available for use by students and the public.
The campus is served by two WiFi networks, one open and one secured. If you have trouble accessing either network, stop by and we’ll help you out.
