Dual Credit participants from the Healers of Tomorrow Summer Academy stand with Native Health Initiative volunteers at the conclusion of the Healing Ways workshop at UNM. The academy was funded by the Native American Serving Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTI) federal grant. Running from July 7-17, the academy provided students with learning experiences related to college prep, CPR certification, health careers, and a field trip to the UNM Health Science Center.
The Title V Coop grant has purchased 10 new iPads now available for students to use in the Student Success Center. See one of the staff and check one out just like you check out a laptop for use in the SSC. These iPads have been initially configured with about 20 apps, primarily for reading. Try one out and let us know how you like them and what we might add to make them more useful and fun to use.
Starting August 1st, JJ’s Snack Shack in the Cyber Cafe will be selling refillable coffee mugs for 2014/15 academic year. For just $25, you’ll get the mug and free refills through the Spring 2015 semester. And June is very pleased to announce an upgrade to the coffee selections.
